Masters of Pie are proud to announce our official OEM partnership with Siemens PLM Software. The agreement will see direct integration of Masters of Pie’s virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR) platform technology into Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) software offerings, beginning with NX™ software, a leading integrated solution for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering (CAD/CAM/CAE).
The strategic agreement comes as part of Siemens’ Partner Program and confirms Masters of Pie as a technology provider to bring virtual and augmented reality capabilities, collaborative environments and user-centric embedded tools which extend the PLM pipeline into the virtual space. The technology can enable large enterprise teams to collaborate more naturally across a complex landscape of data requirements, facilitating richer conversation in order to identify potential issues much earlier.
Karl Maddix, CEO and Co-Founder, Masters of Pie commented: “Over the last five years we have worked very closely with Siemens PLM Software and their customers in order to develop and validate the technology required to bring the benefits of VR and AR to enterprise end users at scale. This agreement represents high profile confidence that these technologies truly offer substantial benefits to enterprise customers and can be successfully woven into working environments, without disruption, bringing about a sea change in the way we all collaborate, understand and interact with ever-increasingly complex data. We are delighted that this close relationship with Siemens PLM Software can finally be made official and we are excited about bringing our technology to the mass market.”
Matthew Ratcliffe, CPO and Co-Founder, Masters of Pie adds: “A key factor in the adoption of this new technology is its seamless integration into software that enterprise customers already use. By offering it as an extension of systems they know and trust, we can reduce friction and dramatically increase adoption. This is not only fantastic for Masters of Pie of course, as Siemens bring with them a global distribution channel, but we believe that this agreement is also great for the whole VR/AR landscape as it helps reinforce that these technologies are indeed a viable platform and are here to stay.”
Bob Haubrock, senior vice president of Product Engineering Software at Siemens PLM Software said, “By partnering with companies like Masters of Pie, we are able to investigate how new interaction and visualization tools can be integrated with NX, using our Open API tools to explore and test new approaches for VR solutions. This OEM agreement further strengthens our relationship.”
